Grammy award winning artist, Erykah Badu traced her roots to Bamenda, Cameroon, a few years ago. Coming from that very same beautiful part of the World, of course, I needed to do this painting of her - wearing the head wrap with fabric known as the 'toghu' from Bamenda.
The image takes inspiration from her album cover titled ' Next lifetime'. I name this painting, 'This lifetime'...  :-)
